I am a new Wells Center faculty and assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics. I study T cell tolerance in the gut-liver axis, specifically how it relates to inflammatory bowel disease and autoimmune liver disease. Understanding and mitigating aberrant inflammation in the gut-liver axis prevents hepatocellular carcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma, and colon cancer.
